Where We Stay
The Captain Yiannis Hotel is tucked around the bay, offering spectacular views of Vathy itself. Guests can venture into Vathy each evening or explore further north to the yacht marina. You’re also within walking distance of Loutsa Beach and with its own pool, it is the perfect location to relax by the water.
The picturesque setting allows you to peer back over the bay toward the town’s centre and up the mountains to the village of Perahori. This is a wonderful hotel for your Ithacan holiday – it even has its own pond with turtles!
Your Accommodation
Our allocation is based on twin share occupancy. There are a limited number of single supplement rooms, which can be reserved during the booking process, subject to availability. Captain Yiannis does have a number of suites as well, which are subject to additional charge and availability. If you are interested in booking a suite, please our Customer Team at info@swimtrek.com.

Food and Drink
All breakfasts and one lunch are included in your trip price (swimmers only). The remaining four lunches and all dinners are at your own expense. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to explore the menus and experience the local restaurants of your choice over the course of your trip. Your guides and the team at the hotel will be able to provide recommendations for places to eat.
Dietary Requirements
If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know at the time of booking. There is a section to complete within the profile details of your SwimTrek account requesting dietary requirements, which will also allow you to notify us of any dietary preferences.
While we will do our best to accommodate these requests, due to the remote location of many of our trips, this cannot always be guaranteed, and allergens may be present. Should this be a cause for concern, and you have no safe solution available please reconsider your intent to travel.
If you have either a requirement or preference for specific food or drinks which may be difficult to source on location, we strongly recommend bringing these with you.
