Enjoy your swims and then retreat to Hotel 1697 to rest or prepare for your post-swim relaxation. Newly renovated for our 2025 SwimTreks, the hotel’s architecture is an attractive blend of traditional charm and modern elegance, complementing the town’s colonial architecture of colourful buildings and cobblestone streets. The town of Loreto was established in 1697, giving a clue to the origins of the hotel's name!
The Accommodation
Rooms are based on a mixture of double and twin-shares with en-suite bathroom facilities. There are a limited number of single supplement rooms which can be reserved during the booking process, subject to availability. While we will do our best to accommodate these requests, due to the remote location of many of our trips, this cannot always be guaranteed, and allergens may be present. Should this be a cause for concern, and you have no safe solution available please reconsider your intent to travel.
If you have either a requirement or preference for specific food or drinks which may be difficult to source on location, we strongly recommend bringing these with you.
